Dear friend,
Have you ever had a knot -- or tight spot -- in your back you wish would just let go?!
Perhaps you're in pain right now, hesitating to get another massage or go to see a doctor and get prescribed pain pills -- or even worse, SURGERY?
Back, shoulder or neck pain -- and even just tightness -- can be so irritating; in many cases debilitating.
I know this feeling more than I'd like to admit...
...especially for someone who specializes in getting knots out of other people...
The thing is, when it's on your own back, it's hard to reach...
If you lay on something, it changes the position of your ribs compared to when you are standing or sitting...
...not to mention your neck position too...
If you press up against a wall, it's tricky to get the right spot with a foam roll before it slides off...
And a tennis ball never seems to quite do the trick when it comes to tight spots around the back...
Golf balls are hard and painful, and they typically leave bruises and don't cover enough area...
I'm telling you, I've tried it all.
And while many doctors and pain practitioners suggest rest for back pain, I've found quite the opposite...
I've found that the more active I stay (and the more active my patients stay) the quicker they become balanced and get out of pain...
In fact, this isn't the only discovery I'm about to share with you that has led to a pain free lifestyle, even 'before' I knew how to fix the problem.
Over the next few minutes, we're going to discuss:
In fact, this applies to any type of pain. And this same solution will work for most...
So, if I were you, I'd probably be a bit of a skeptic too. That's normal...
So, allow me to rewind a bit here... to give you some perspective...
At the time, I was running a personal training business inside the iconic building of downtown Miami.
And just before graduation -- on my final internship -- I was rotating through a sports PT location for 6 weeks, caring for Olympic and professional athletes...
Many of which are household names in most countries around the world...
To say it was a neat experience is an understatement...
I saw true athletic potential realized with training techniques that understood the principles of Physical Therapy and applied them to the world of elite training and rehabilitation at the same time. Our patients and clients would go on to win Superbowls, Olympic medals, and so on.
So people started approaching me with requests for me to open a gym, investors who wanted in and would pay for the entire thing...
It was at that time that I moved to Pennsylvania and opened the world's first Physical Therapy & Personal Training facility, governed under a master-level certification process, so we could all speak the same language...
...and to come full circle, there was one lesson that kept jumping out at me as an important one to teach others:
Why did I think this lesson was SO important, you might be wondering?
We'll get to that in a minute...
Although, before I do, you might be wondering if this only applies to young adults or for whom is advice like this?
So, in short, if you're a human being -- young or old -- and you've had a significant injury, lived in pain, or you live in pain (or restricted range of motion now), consider what you're reading and learning carefully...
You see, I was still attempting to recover from an injury that took place while learning about 'bracing' vs 'stabilization', and I wanted to make sure that no one else would get hurt like I did...
Towards the end of grad school, my CI (clinical instructor) was attempting to show me the difference between 'bracing' muscles (like bearing down to go to the bathroom) vs 'stabilizing' muscles (your true core that can stay on all day long)...
And I wasn't ready for her to lean all of her body weight on me...
But she did.
And then there was a quick pop, crack, and twist...
My spine and core gave way a bit...
And I was in good shape at the time...
For the first time in my life, I became asymmetrical.
Fast forward, about six years go by and I'm officiating a friend's wedding...
Just before we got ready for the ceremony that day, we decided to play some beach volleyball.
And I took a super awesome dig...
At least that's what I thought...
Boom!! I crashed onto the ground, and the left side of my ribcage must have hit first.
I felt my ribs give in and push in towards my belly...
And by the next morning, that 'twisted' spot in my back (from six years earlier) was raw and swollen.
Well, another year or so goes by and I ended up in the hospital... long story short, I had an intestinal perforation, sepsis, and went through multiple organ failure...
And when I awoke from surgery, I had a temporary ileostomy bag hanging from my chest to assist with digestion...
The thing is, it was hanging from one side, further tipping me into rotation and placing stress on that same area of my spine...
So, now I had the triple whammy!!:
And that was the thing... I knew that the proper 'myofascial release' technique could release the old injury, untie the scar tissue that had been laid down, and finally give me relief...
And it wasn't until I moved to Sedona that I looked up my old mentor and the originator of Myofascial Release to go in for an intensive...
At the end of the third (very productive) session within 24 hours, I was offered a device to use at home to further release any tissue that was 'stuck'....
Naturally, I agreed.
Well, I've gotta tell you:
The only thing about this device is that it was a bit awkward...
You see, I flew to Seattle a couple of weeks after buying it... and while at the airport, security decided to search my bag.
And I've gotta tell you... he sure gave me a strange and dirty look.
Glancing at me... then, glancing at my children... then, back at me...
This thing came in a bag that makes it look like a sex toy...
It's made of silicone (or something similar)...
And it's shaped kind of like a breast or some sort of, um... plug.
On any note, I explained what it was and relief washed over TSA's face. He could finally breathe again...
Although he decided not to reach his hands into the bag...
And the search was over.
So, we took what we've learned in our experience over the last 15 years in Physical Therapy and Personal Training to re-work this device, make it even more effective and versatile for your use, and packed in a way that you don't have feel mortified if going through TSA or if you leave it out on your counter and have a guest over... :-)
For example, a lot of low back pain is linked to digestion...
But what is the link, you might be wondering?
It's a connective tissue that wraps from the gut to the spine, called 'thoracolumbar fascia'.
In short, it's 'fascia'...
And fascia is a connective web of tissue that gives your body shape or form...
This type of tissue is innervated by the nervous system, or in other words, responds to electricity from nerves...
So when it tightens, it's because of a nearby injury or electricity being sent throughout the body...
The only thing is, in your entire body, you have about 2.5cm of 'extra' fascia.
And, as you age, this gets down to about 1.5cm of extra tissue, due to dehydration with aging...
So, depending upon your age and how many injuries you've sustained (including mental, emotional, and spiritual trauma)...
You can start to get an idea whether or not you have any 'resiliency' left, or slack left in your body...
Now, a lot of things help with elasticity, or slack, when it comes to myofascial tissue. For example:
Cardiovascular exercise promotes blood flow...
Stretching increases range of motion and reduces the incidence of new restrictions...
Traditional massage tends to alleviate at least 'some' of this restriction...
And salt baths, hot tubs, steam showers, and saunas all function to alleviate some of the pain and restriction caused by fascia...
And it's simpler than you think...
Most people think you need to back off when there's pain with pressure...
And that makes sense, right?
Because pain is telling you something... like don't press on me!
Yet, after awhile, the reason for the pain is gone and those same nerve cells (pressure receptors called type IV mechanoreceptors) are still there...
Causing you pain every time you feel pressure in the place of an old injury...
And this pressure can be stretch just as easily as it can be direct pressure on the old site of restriction/knot/injury...
And that's why it's so important to actually put pressure in each of these places... and sustain it for awhile...
Because a nerve cell whose language is pressure only communicates through pressure...
You see, there's something called a 'piezoelectric effect' that takes place after a specific type of pressure is placed on these knots -- or myofascial restrictions -- for greater than 5 minutes...
And once the piezoelectric effect takes place, the tissue finally lets go and resolves back to its normal anatomical position...
In fact, there's an entire discipline of Physical Therapy surrounding myofascial release now.
People from all over the world travel to this same clinic in Sedona that I went to...
Experts in Physical Therapy, Osteopathic medicine, Chiropractic, and Massage all get certified in myofascial release to bring relief to their patients...
And many of us now know that people who are stunted with weight loss, metabolic issues, digestive strain, and back pain are able to find relief through this simple remedy...
The fact of the matter is that we all remember what it felt like to fall off a bike or take a spill and recover almost instantly...
And it's a pretty scary proposition to think that you're going to have to recover for days, weeks, months or years every time you fall down or get injured as an adult...
That's why the Nubby is such an important discovery, and one that we absolutely had to share with you today!!!
Imagine a spider web of connective tissue (the white stuff if you've ever cut yourself deeply), all binding down to one section of your back where there was an old injury...
For example, let's say it's in your lower back, and you've noticed that your back has been a bit flatter since this injury first took place... or maybe you notice that you look a bit twisted when you see yourself in the mirror with your shirt off...
Well, this connective 'spider web' of tissue might be reaching all the way up to your shoulder or neck, anchoring down in various places, and all the way down into your thighs.
So, the key is to release fascia from all of its connection points; at first in the center, and then on the outside attachment points (i.e. shoulder and leg) to follow.
Consider this: when you get injured, a flood of things take place in the body to help you heal and prevent further injury...
For example... your body swells in the area of injury...
White blood cells are released with specialty Pacman cells (called macrophages) to gobble up any bacteria or cell that has mutated and could lead to other diseases like cancer...
Nerve cells are released into the area to prevent you from putting further pressure on it during the time of healing; others to signal alarm bells for pain so you take pressure away.
New blood arrives to the location...
And this is just the beginning of what your body does to help you once an injury takes place...
And we're not talking about some giant injury like a car accident in order for these events to take place...
No. We're talking about a nasty bruise, a fall, a twisted ankle, sprained wrist or elbow, or prolonged tendonitis... amongst many other examples...
Sometimes, it's as simple as picking a pencil up off the floor without proper form...
Sometimes, it's a sleep position + stress...
Sometimes, it's emotional, mental, or spiritual 'injury' that leads to restrictions...
Especially in traumatic events like rape, physical abuse, verbal abuse, and prolonged isolation...
Where is memory stored you might be wondering?
Isn't it only in the mind?
And where is the mind located, anyway?
This is part of the process...
And it's important to remember that you are both safe and loved.
Want some proof?
You probably already have it from your own life experience...
You may have had a knot in a muscle before and just couldn't stretch past a certain spot...
Then, you get a massage or rub it out, and next thing you know you can stretch past where you were limited before...
Or you have felt your spine twist and feel stuck, ultimately walking awkwardly for a day or a few until things "straighten out"...
Although 'did they' ever straighten out?
Or is it possible that your body found a new position that helped you look straight towards the horizon and your spine is even more twisted on the inside?
Maybe you've hurt your shoulder before and it got better after a few days or weeks, although you never did a whole lot more than rest for it to get better?
Release the fascia, reset the area, and reduce the chance of any future injury or related pain.
Fascia is released through 3-dimensional pressure that starts off softly and gradually builds as the tissue adapts and moves...
When it comes to a therapist doing this, you might feel them hold your ankles up in the air and yet you can feel the pull into your upper back or neck...
And that's exactly what you want: you want to feel the fascial connection -- or band -- from where it begins all the way to where it ends.
This is the spider web effect we were talking about earlier...
And you'll want to take the whole spider web down...
Which means you'll want to 'detach' each fascial band from the top, center, and bottom of where you can feel it in your body.
So, when it comes to the backside of your body, the center will usually be somewhere on your back...
The low point might be somewhere on the back of your leg...
And the high point might be somewhere towards the top of your shoulder like your trap.
The only trouble is reaching the spots on your back...
It's not the same thing as touching your own thigh or upper arm...
And as a result, most people are limited to a therapist helping them (if there's even a qualified myofascial release therapist anywhere in your area, which is far more rare than I'd like to admit...)
...or trying to struggle with it on their own with very little progress...
This is our best discovery in myofascial release in over 15 years.
It's that good!!!
And that's why we had to make it available for you, too.
But, once we got to making our first Nubby, we realized all of the potential that existed by reshaping it a bit so you can easily add torsion...
Because a slow and steady 'twisting force' -- or torsion -- adds so much to myofascial release.
Ever since we created this, it's probably the #1 thing everyone asks us about... EVERYONE seems to want one!!
It's because of this simple, yet revolutionary new technology that we are seeing such incredible results.
Sometimes, it's the simple things...
And I certainly know one thing for sure after having used this: I wouldn't want to have to order one 'after' I was in pain...
Afterall, I've spent my entire career helping others get out of pain...
And I specialize in these techniques...
Helping others when they feel there is no other option, albeit acute injury or chronic pain & tightness...
And time and time again, my patients attribute myofascial release as one of the most critical things they've done...
So, when you get a Nubby, you're going to want to know what to do...
For starters, we'll ship out a little instruction sheet that will explain everything, so it's super easy to get started...
And just so there's no confusion, this is all it takes to use your Nubby:
That's it.
Listen, when we run out of these, it's going to take 6-12 weeks to get more. Each time we stock up, we need to front the cash and it can be quite expensive to buy in BIG batches (like tens of thousands of dollars at once.).
So, we let them sell out, and then we buy some more...
And as of this moment, we still have some Nubbies left in stock.

The Nubby(TM) is a silicone massage cone with strategic bumps located in specific places in order for you to be able to gradually adapt pressure while you lean against it and relieve aches, pains, and areas of past restriction. By using the Nubby for as little as 5 minutes, you can restore your tissue elasticity, and therefore resiliency.
The Nubby is good for anyone, regardless of age, gender, religious background, or ethics. It's a simple, ethically-made device that serves to release areas of myofascial restriction; and we all get restrictions as we go through life. It's part of what happens through stress, emotional ups and downs, and injury. By 'unsticking' each of the areas of restriction in your body, you are providing increased blood flow, improved healing, and increased range of motion to the surrounding joints. Perhaps best of all is that your body becomes more forgiving, allowing you to heal faster in general and bounce back from small bumps, bruises, falls, and the like.
That's normal. Traditional massage works by adding pressure to a specific muscle or group of muscles. The pressure acts as "stretch" by lengthening the muscle when you press on it. And depending upon the device, vibration, light or other modalities may be combined to relax the nerves around a muscle, add heat, etc.
Myofascial release is totally different, because it's a whole-body approach that's designed to release connective tissue, rather than muscle tissue.
Traditional massage is stretch, in another form. It works by stretching one or many muscles at once through placing pressure on the muscle, which creates a bowing effect and leads to increased stretch. Instead of only stretching the beginning to the end of a muscle, many people experience relief through massage because each individual area of a muscle experiences added stretch.
Now, contrast this with 'myofascial release', which does not work on 'one' muscle. Instead, it works on a connective web of tissue that runs through your entire body, holds your organs in place, and gives you shape or form. In your entire body you are born with 2.5cm of slack, which means that if you don't experience any form of trauma in your life, you will keep all of this slack.
However, most of us do experience trauma, albeit through injuries, harsh words, or uncontrolled feelings. And once trauma takes place, the body 'holds on' through this fascia. Since the back is a centerpoint for the body, many of the restrictions take place here and lead to low back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, and many other ailments like tight hips, painful knees or ankles, plantar fasciitis, or even carpal tunnel syndrome.
By strategically releasing fascia -- and emphasizing the back -- many patients experience whole-body relief and a newness that feels as though they just became much younger than they remember a few minutes earlier...
This is the type of relief we are intending for you to experience with the Nubby. Get un-stuck, and get un-stuck for good.
Besides, if you ever get stuck again, you'll know what to do. Go ahead and order your Nubby today:
(just $29.95, once; no future charges)
Osteoporosis (hollow bones) means that you'll need a doctor's approval before using any massage device. Nubby wouldn't cause more pain/discomfort than any other massage devices or an in-person massage, although depending upon the severity of osteoporosis, you may or may not be a candidate for using Nubby. If you have osteopenia (weakened bones), please use caution with your Nubby or be sure to check with your physician first for extra safety and to avoid any unnecessary fractures.
Yes and no.
In theory, you could heat the Nubby and place it directly on your skin right after it was boiling and burn yourself. That's why we recommend that you let it cool until it's easy to hold in your hands without a towel, tongs or an oven mit.
Or, if you press directly on a new injury right where it just happened -- especially if it's bleeding -- we would expect this to increase pain or make the injury worse.
This being said, so long as you're using some common sense and you keep the idea of 'release' front of mind, we have yet to see a single injury from the Nubby.
Go ahead and grab your Nubby today -- besides, your order is guaranteed for 60 days and you can return it anytime if you're unsatisfied in any way:
(just $29.95, once; no future charges)
